In 2010, under the leadership of Mr Gagandeep Singh, Jiwandaan Foundation was established as a leading provider of treatment options for individuals battling addiction. The Nasha Mukti Kendra in Handiaya focuses on both rehabilitation and enhancing an individual's character and life skills. This is one of the primary factors contributing to our 88.23 percent success rate.

Addiction frequently damages an individual's confidence, decision-making ability, and emotional equilibrium. To enable addicts to regain control of their lives, we developed a standardized program aimed at enhancing an individual's life skills and personality. The program includes daily motivational sessions, developing communication skills, setting goals, implementing discipline routines, exercise and confidence-building activities.

Groups and/or interactive workshops are used to engage patients. The patients also participate in guided sessions that enable them to express themselves and identify their strengths. The sessions are helpful in increasing self-esteem and enabling individuals to prepare for a life after treatment that is stable.

In conjunction with the life skills we provide to patients, our center also offers various recovery services including detoxification, counseling, yoga, meditation, and behavioral therapy. Each patient is offered an individually-tailored program that addresses the unique physical and emotional requirements of each patient, while providing continuous improvement mentally, emotionally and physically.
