Jiwandaan Foundation (JDF) was established in 2010 by Mr Gagandeep Singh and has worked to improve the lives of thousands of addicts across India, by giving them the opportunity to receive high-quality, caring, and efficient rehabilitation. JDF has been able to achieve 88.23% of success due to our Nasha Mukti Kendras (NKDs), in different locations, including Patti.

Mr Gagandeep Singh’s success story of an unidentified young man from Jaitu, who had struggled with opioid addiction for several years, but could not overcome his addiction, after trying various other centres and programmes, ultimately joined JDF. As part of our comprehensive assessment, our team developed an individualized treatment plan based upon the young man’s needs and requirements. The treatment plan included detoxification, counseling, meditation, group therapy, and training in skills.

The first few days were very challenging for the young man, because of the withdrawal symptoms he experienced. However, he received continuous guidance and emotional support from our counselors and medical staff, as well as our 24/7 supervision and support. Additionally, he participated in regular family counseling sessions, which gave him a strong sense of support and made him believe in himself.

He began to develop the physical strength, mental balance, and confidence in himself, over time. In addition to having a schedule for his daily routines, we organized inspirational seminars, and fitness activities to prepare him to successfully reintegrate into society. Today, he is happy and actively participating in the community.
